Company settings and logo

How to set up your company details and upload your own logo in Taxorio — how the name, company ID (IČO), tax ID (DIČ), address and logo end up in the header and footer of your PDF invoices.

Where to find company settings

Edit your company details in Settings → Company details. This is where you'll find everything that gets printed on your invoices — filling it in correctly is essential for your invoices to be legally valid and meet the requirements of the VAT Act and the Accounting Act. The same tab also carries your tax settings (VAT status, tax period, flat-rate expenses, insurance and tax office); those are covered in the Tax settings article.

What you can edit in company settings

The page is split into several sections:

Basic details

  • Company name — exactly as registered in the Trade Licensing Register or the Commercial Register.
  • Company ID (IČO) — an eight-digit identification number.
  • Self-employment start date — used for prorated insurance calculations in your first year of business.
  • Primary business activity (CZ-NACE) — chosen from a list; stated on both the VAT return and the income tax return.
  • Commercial register entry — optional; if filled in, it's printed on the invoice.

The tax ID (DIČ) only appears once you've picked a VAT status — for a VAT payer and an identified person it's offered and required. See the Tax settings article for details.

Address & contact

  • Street and number, Postal code and City — your registered address, printed on the invoice.
  • Email — the contact email for invoicing (can differ from your sign-in email).
  • Phone — shown on the invoice as a contact detail.

Bank details

  • Account number and Bank code — in Czech format; together they make up the payment QR code on the invoice.
  • IBAN — the account number in international format (a Czech IBAN is CZ + 22 characters).
  • BIC/SWIFT and Bank name — optional, useful for payments from abroad.

If you have more than one account, manage them on their own Settings → Bank accounts tab: each account has its own name and currency, and one of them is the default. A new invoice picks up the default account; you can choose a different one when issuing it, in the More options section. An account is never deleted, only archived — and an invoice that's already issued remembers its own payment details, so it stays unaffected by a later change or archiving. Once you have a second account, the fields above disappear here and point you to that tab instead.

Uploading your logo

Your logo appears in the top-left corner of every PDF invoice and in the header of the HTML preview.

  1. The Company logo card is right at the top of the Settings → Company details page.
  2. Click Upload logo and pick a file. It uploads straight away — nothing else to confirm, and the preview updates immediately.
  3. Supported formats: PNG and JPG (the server rejects SVG). Maximum file size: 2 MB.
  4. We recommend a horizontal logo, at least 400 × 120 px. In the invoice header it's placed into an area roughly 100–150 points wide and 30–56 points tall (depending on the chosen template), and the aspect ratio is preserved — so a square logo shrinks to fit the height and ends up looking small.
  5. Swap the logo with the Upload a different logo button, or remove it with Delete logo.
💡 Tip: For the best result on a PDF invoice, use a logo with a transparent background (a PNG with an alpha channel). A logo on a white background can look like it has a white frame on a coloured header.

Where these details appear

  • PDF invoice — the header, with the logo, company name, address, IČO, DIČ and bank details.
  • HTML preview of the invoice in the app.
  • Invoice email — the footer of the sent email includes the company name and IČO.
⚠️ Warning: Changing your company details only affects newly issued invoices. Existing invoices keep a snapshot of the details as they were at the time of issue.
