Sales records (EET) in Taxorio

How to send sales from invoices paid on the spot to EET from 1 January 2027 — setting up DIS+ and the certificate step by step, recording cash, card and QR payments, the time of receipt, what Taxorio cannot do and who is responsible for recording. A PRO plan feature.

From 1 January 2027, payments you take on the spot are recorded in EET, the Czech sales register. On the PRO plan, Taxorio sends the sale from an invoice by itself when you record that the customer paid you on the spot. Taxorio is not a cash register — it does not record sales without an invoice.

Which payments are recorded

  • Cash, always — even from a company, sent with a courier or collected by your own delivery. The only exception is cash on delivery that a postal service transfers to your account.
  • A card while you meet — on a terminal at the customer’s place or at your premises, but also through a payment link the customer pays while you are with them. Enter it as Card on site.
  • A QR payment or a transfer made on the spot — when the customer pays by phone while you are with them.

Not recorded: a transfer the customer sends from home, a card payment through a link or an e-shop that the customer makes without you (at home, say), and cash on delivery that a postal service transfers to your account. Enter those on the invoice as Bank transfer. What counts is how and where the customer actually paid, not what the invoice says. Nothing is recorded for 2026.

Setting it up step by step

  1. On the tax portal of the Financial Administration, activate DIS+. Activation takes up to 2 days.
  2. In DIS+ choose “Chci začít evidovat” (I want to start recording) and register a unit on the Evidenční jednotky tab. If you take money at customers’ places, choose the type “poplatník mimo jednotky”. If you take it at your premises, choose “provozovna” with its address — an office or workshop customers come to counts as premises too. Register all your units, including an e-shop.
  3. In DIS+ generate a cash-register certificate and download the .p12 file. Copy the password DIS+ shows you.
  4. In Taxorio open Settings → Sales records (EET). For Who sends your sales to EET? choose Taxorio. Say where you take the money (At customers’ places, At my premises, Both) and whether your card terminal records card payments itself.
  5. Upload the .p12 file, enter the certificate password and the establishment number (2 to 9 digits, shown in DIS+ on the Evidenční jednotky tab). Click Upload and test.

Taxorio checks the certificate, stores it encrypted and does not keep the password. It then tests the connection to EET straight away — the verification message records nothing. When all is well, Taxorio confirms it: from 1 January 2027 it then sends sales from invoices on which you record a payment on the spot.

You can delete or replace the certificate in Settings. Deleting it in Taxorio does not revoke it, though — if you suspect someone else got hold of it, revoke it in DIS+ and tell the tax office (Section 14(4) of the Sales Records Act).

💡 Tip: Set it up on a computer — a .p12 file is awkward to handle on a phone, especially in Safari on an iPhone. And do it in December 2026: from 1 January 2027 sales are sent for real, and the Financial Administration treats January as regular recording already.

How to record a payment on the spot

  • A new invoice: under Payment method choose Cash or Card on site, leave Paid ticked and check the Money received line — the default is Just now, otherwise choose Another time and enter the day and time. Then click Issue and record.
  • A bank-transfer invoice paid on the spot: in the invoice detail click Mark as paid → Paid another way (cash, card, QR on site) and choose how the customer paid.
  • A cash or card invoice paid later: Mark as paid offers Bank transfer, QR code on site, Card on site and Cash. Choose the real method.
  • A QR payment at the customer’s: in the detail of an unpaid bank-transfer invoice click Customer is paying by QR now — the sale is recorded straight away. If you recorded the payment as a transfer but the customer paid by QR code with you, fix it with Paid on site (QR).
  • An advance paid on the spot (Advance paid) is a sale of its own. On a final invoice, only the balance you actually received is recorded.
  • A refund by credit note in cash or by card is sent as a negative sale.
  • The amount received is prefilled, rounded to whole crowns for cash. You may enter more (rounding, a tip) — EET gets the amount received, while the invoice and your income in Taxorio stay the same. A tip and rounding up are still your business income, though: Taxorio does not count them, so add them yourself (in your tax return, or towards the band limit under the flat-rate tax).
  • This payment isn't recorded — when a particular payment does not have to be recorded (a sale outside Czechia, say, or one already recorded elsewhere), choose this for it and pick the reason.
⚠️ Record Paid just before you take the money. A sale must be recorded no later than when the money is received. If the customer does not pay in the end, clear the payment straight away (More actions → Clear payment) — Taxorio sends a correction.

The time of receipt and recording later

The time the money was received is a mandatory part of the sale. If you record a payment later, enter the real time you took the money — Taxorio sends it to EET unchanged.

A payment recorded more than 10 minutes later is still sent, and the invoice marks it “late”: the sale had to be recorded when the money was received. The act allows a delay only for a connection outage — you then send the sale as soon as the connection is back, within 48 hours of receiving the money at the latest (Section 20 of the Sales Records Act), and keep proof of the outage. It is not a period you may use up: recording later without an outage is late recording. An invoice cannot be issued without internet — record it as soon as you are back online.

The status of a sale on the invoice

  • Recorded in EET — with the time and the confirmation code. The code is in the invoice detail; it is not on the PDF or in the email (the law does not require it).
  • Sending to EET — the Financial Administration has not answered yet. Taxorio keeps trying until the sale is confirmed, even after 48 hours — the obligation to record the sale continues. While it is waiting, do not enter the same payment in MOJE eet, or it would be in EET twice. If the Financial Administration has not confirmed it within 48 hours of receiving the money, check in DIS+ whether it is among your recorded sales; if not, record it in MOJE eet. Mark a payment you entered elsewhere I recorded it elsewhere — Taxorio then does not send it.
  • The sale couldn't be recorded — with the reason and what to do (for example, upload a new certificate). Taxorio does not send it again by itself. If the cause is on your side, fix it and click Send again. If the error is on Taxorio’s side, write to us and record the sale in MOJE eet meanwhile (then choose I recorded it elsewhere for it) — the obligation to record does not end. After you upload a new certificate, Taxorio first asks about sales that failed on the certificate whether you recorded them elsewhere in the meantime.

Failed sales, sales waiting to be sent for longer than an hour and warnings the Financial Administration attached to sales that are already recorded (for example, about the format of the registered unit number) show up in the Inbox and reach you by email. All sales are listed in Settings → Sales records (EET) → Sales in EET.

A paid invoice is locked entirely, including the note — like any paid document. When something needs fixing, clear the payment first (for a sale that was sent, a correction goes out), then edit the invoice and mark it paid again.

Why a sale was not sent

If you see no sale on a paid invoice, it is usually because:

  • you are on the Free plan or your PRO has ended — Taxorio does not send sales, it only reminds you of MOJE eet,
  • Taxorio is not chosen in Settings — the answer to Who sends your sales to EET? is I record them elsewhere, I don't have to record them, or nothing yet,
  • the payment is recorded as a transfer — a transfer from home is not recorded. If the customer paid by QR code with you, fix it within 7 days with Paid on site (QR),
  • your terminal records card payments, you are signed up for the EET OFF surcharge, or you chose This payment isn’t recorded for that payment,
  • the invoice was imported or the payment came from the Bank — these never send anything to EET,
  • the payment is from 2026 — recording starts on 1 January 2027.

The status The sale couldn't be recorded always gives the reason — for example an expired certificate, a missing registered unit number, or that the Financial Administration rejected the message. Fix the cause in Settings → Sales records (EET) and send the sale again. The status Sending to EET only means the Financial Administration has not answered yet — Taxorio keeps trying on its own.

Cards, the terminal and the Bank

  • Does your terminal record payments itself? If your card terminal sends card payments to EET, answer Yes in Settings — Taxorio then does not send card payments, so they are not in EET twice. This applies to all card payments: record a payment-link payment on the spot that the terminal does not record in MOJE eet.
  • A payout from the terminal provider landing in your account does not belong to the invoice — the invoice is already paid by card. Reject it in the Bank.
  • Payments from the Bank never send anything to EET, and neither does importing invoices. Importing sends nothing to EET; sales that the original tool recorded stay recorded there. More about the Bank in Automatic payment matching.

Recording elsewhere, the exemption and the Free plan

  • I record them elsewhere — your cash register or terminal sends your sales, or you enter them in MOJE eet. Taxorio then sends no new sales; corrections and refunds for sales it has already sent still go out.
  • I don't have to record them — only the personal exemption under the act (Section 11(4) of the Sales Records Act): entitlement to a ZTP or ZTP/P card because of severe loss of sight in both eyes, total or practical blindness or deafblindness — and at the same time you do business without employees and cooperating persons (unless they meet the same condition), not as a partner in a company (unless all partners meet it) and you take payments yourself or through a person who meets the condition. A citizen of another EU state registered in Czechia for a stay of up to 3 months meets the first condition if they are totally or practically blind or severely deafblind (Section 11(5)). Other reasons are chosen for a single payment.
  • The Free plan — Taxorio does not send sales. For a payment on the spot it only reminds you to record it in MOJE eet. The same applies after PRO ends; sales created while you had PRO are still sent. Your settings and certificate stay — when you renew PRO, Taxorio sends new payments by itself again and first asks whether you recorded the payments from the time without PRO elsewhere. Sending sales is part of PRO at no extra charge, and a new account gets 14 days of PRO free.

If you set EET up later, Taxorio asks whether you recorded the payments from the meantime elsewhere. If not, it sends them late. If you switch the choice from Taxorio to another one, Taxorio stops sending the sales that have not gone out yet and asks you in Settings whether you recorded them elsewhere. Taxorio does not correct a payment you recorded elsewhere: if you clear its payment or refund the money, record the negative sale where you recorded the payment.

Flat-rate taxpayers and the EET OFF surcharge

In band 1 of the flat-rate tax you can sign up for a surcharge of CZK 1,400 a month instead of recording, if last year’s income from self-employment did not exceed CZK 1,000,000. You file the notice with the tax office by 10 January, for 2027 by 11 January 2027; you can also sign up in the notice of entering the flat-rate regime (when starting a business, on the start day at the latest) or of changing the band. Then, in Settings → Sales records (EET), choose that you pay the surcharge and enter the day you filed the notice. Taxorio does not verify the filing, but it no longer creates sales for you and adds the surcharge to your advance. Taxorio assesses the CZK 1,000,000 limit only from invoices in Taxorio. If you also have business income outside them, watch the limit yourself — once it is exceeded, the sign-up does not apply and you record sales. If your income in a year of the sign-up exceeds CZK 1,000,000, the sign-up ends at the end of that year and does not renew by itself — tell the tax office within 15 days, and from 1 January you record sales again until you sign up anew. Bands 2 and 3 always record. If you record sales instead of paying the surcharge, keep in mind that the sales-recording tax credit (Section 35be of the Income Tax Act) can only be claimed in the return for the first year of recording — a flat-rate taxpayer whose tax equals the flat-rate tax files no return, so cannot claim it for that year, and later years are no longer the first. Details in Flat-rate tax.

What Taxorio cannot do

  • Sales without an invoice — record a till receipt or a quick sale in MOJE eet or in a cash register.
  • More than one registered unit — Taxorio sends for one. Record sales from the other elsewhere.
  • Issue an invoice fully offline.
  • Renew the certificate by itself — it is valid for 366 days. Taxorio reminds you 30 and 7 days ahead and you upload a new one.
  • A partial payment on the spot — issue a proforma invoice for the part paid, or record it in MOJE eet.
  • Payments by meal vouchers, vouchers, deposits or cryptocurrency.
  • Rounding or tips in your income — they are your income, add them yourself.

Who is responsible for recording

⚠️ You are responsible for recording. Taxorio only sends sales with your certificate — the payment method, the time of receipt, the registered unit, exemptions and the EET OFF surcharge are your responsibility. Keep MOJE eet at hand as a backup, for example when your internet is down or the certificate expires. Details are in the terms of service.
