Best Invoicing Software for Czech Freelancers 2026: 7 Tools Compared

Seven invoicing programs for self-employed people in the Czech Republic compared by price, free-plan limits, and business type — pick by what you need in 2026.

Searching for the "best invoicing software" for a self-employed person (OSVČ — the Czech term for a self-employed sole trader) in the Czech Republic doesn't return one obvious winner, because there isn't one. At least seven established tools compete side by side today — Fakturoid, iDoklad, Vyfakturuj.cz, SuperFaktura.cz, mPOHODA, Money S3, and Taxorio — and each one suits a different kind of business. What matters more than the name is how many invoices you issue a month, whether you're a VAT payer, and what you expect from expense tracking.

Below, each program is listed with its price, its free-plan limit, and its main strength and weakness, based on public price lists checked as of 5 September 2026. Prices change over time, so verify them directly with each provider before you decide.

⚠️ Note: The prices below are excluding VAT and reflect the providers' public price lists as of 5 September 2026. Providers change their pricing and free-plan limits over time.

What to base your choice on: 7 questions before you decide

  1. How many invoices do you issue each month?
  2. Are you a VAT payer, a non-VAT payer, or on the lump-sum tax (paušální daň — a single fixed monthly payment that replaces income tax and both types of social contributions for eligible self-employed people)?
  3. Do you need automatic payment matching and reminders, or do you track invoices manually?
  4. Do you want to record received expense documents and have them read automatically by AI?
  5. Do you need XML files ready for the VAT return and VAT control statement (kontrolní hlášení) on the tax authority's MOJE daně portal (the Financial Administration's e-filing portal)?
  6. Do you hand records over to an accountant, and do you need an export into their software?
  7. How much do you want to pay per year, and what happens to your data if you leave the program?

From 150 CZK a month (Na lehko); the free plan allows unlimited invoices but only 5 customers. Strength: the widest list of supported banks for payment matching, plus its own MCP server for AI assistants. Weakness: payment matching and reminders only from 212 CZK a month, and data exports are limited to three-month ranges.

iDoklad

Best for: small teams who want several users on one account. From 240 CZK a month (Základní); the free plan allows max. 5 contacts and 3 free AI document scans. Strength: a mobile app in every tier and direct bank-account matching from the Oblíbený tier. Weakness: bank matching and automatic reminders only from 430 CZK a month.

Vyfakturuj.cz

Best for: self-employed people who want unlimited invoicing at a low price without full automation. From 175 CZK a month (Mini); the free plan allows max. 5 customers and suppliers. Strength: matching with any bank via forwarded email notifications, already in the lowest paid tier. Weakness: automatic reminders and recurring invoices only from the Ideal tier at 299 CZK a month.

SuperFaktura.cz

Strength: payment matching included from the lowest paid tier. Weakness: automatic reminders by email and SMS only from the Standardní tier at 279 CZK a month.

mPOHODA

Best for: self-employed people and businesses whose accountant already works in the POHODA accounting program. From 166 CZK a month (Basic, prices effective from 1 September 2026); the free Start plan is limited to 100 issued invoices and 5 contacts. Strength: a direct connection to the POHODA accounting program, and free for owners of a POHODA licence. Weakness: automated invoicing and reminders only from the Pro tier at 298 CZK a month.

Money S3

Best for: self-employed people and businesses who want to keep their books — either simplified tax records or full double-entry bookkeeping — in one desktop program, including inventory and payroll. Price: paid licences run into the thousands of CZK a year, with a limited free Start version available. Strength: a comprehensive accounting program for people who keep their own books or whose accountant already works in Money. Weakness: a higher upfront cost and a steeper learning curve than the online invoicing programs on this list.

Taxorio

Best for: self-employed people who want invoicing, expense tracking, and VAT-related paperwork in a single low-cost program. 69 CZK a month or 690 CZK a year excluding VAT; the free plan allows 2 new invoices and 5 expense documents a month, with no limit on the number of clients. Strength: payment matching, reminders, recurring invoices, and XML for the VAT return, the VAT control statement, and a basic income tax return scenario, all in a single 69-CZK tier. Weakness: only 2 new invoices a month on the free plan, no inventory, no One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme, and only one company per account.

The cost of automation: payment matching, reminders, and recurring invoices

If you need all three automation features at once, the differences between programs widen considerably.

ProgramLowest tier with all three features
Fakturoid393 CZK/month (Na maximum)
iDoklad430 CZK/month (Oblíbený; recurring invoices already in the free plan)
Vyfakturuj.cz299 CZK/month (Ideal)
SuperFaktura.cz279 CZK/month (Standardní)
mPOHODA298 CZK/month (Pro — automated invoicing and reminders; bank matching via home banking)
Taxorio69 CZK/month (Pro)
💡 Tip: Before you compare prices, write down the three or four features you actually use every month. A program with the lowest base price can end up costing more once you add the payment matching and reminders you genuinely need.

By type of business

A new non-VAT payer with a handful of invoices a month

A free plan is enough here — Fakturoid, iDoklad, Vyfakturuj.cz, SuperFaktura.cz, and Taxorio all offer a free entry point with no credit card required. What decides it is the limit: the number of customers or contacts (5 on four of the competing programs), or the number of new invoices a month (2 on Taxorio, but with no client limit).

A freelancer with regular clients

Needs recurring invoices and an overview of who has paid. Vyfakturuj.cz and SuperFaktura.cz offer this combination from their mid tiers (299 and 279 CZK respectively), Taxorio from 69 CZK a month.

A tradesperson taking deposits

Issues deposit invoices, waits for payment, and needs bank matching on the go. Payment matching and mobile access matter most here — Fakturoid and iDoklad sit in a similar price range for this (212 to 430 CZK), while Taxorio offers the same features for 69 CZK a month but without a native app in the app stores.

An online shop or team with several users

Needs inventory tracking, multiple users, and possibly payment gateways. Taxorio isn't the right choice here: it doesn't support inventory or multiple companies on one account. The top tiers of Fakturoid, iDoklad, Vyfakturuj.cz's Profi, or Money S3 fit better.

A VAT payer

Needs an XML export for the VAT return and VAT control statement. Taxorio offers this in its Pro tier at 69 CZK a month, including a basic income tax return scenario; for the other programs, check the scope of VAT-related exports in the specific tier you're considering.

Someone on the lump-sum tax

Files no tax return or contribution statements, but still has to keep records of income and track the band limit. Taxorio has the lump-sum regime, including limit tracking, built in even on its free plan.

Before you decide

If you're weighing up Fakturoid and iDoklad specifically, a detailed price and feature comparison is in our article Fakturoid vs. iDoklad 2026. If you invoice as a non-VAT payer and don't want to pay for features you'll never use, read Invoicing software for non-VAT payers in Czechia 2026. A general price comparison is also available on our invoicing software comparison page. Whichever program you choose, the key is to pick based on your actual volume of invoices and clients, not on whichever name comes up most often in search results.

How Taxorio handles this

Taxorio belongs in this list as one of seven tools, not as a universal winner. Its advantage is a low price (69 CZK a month or 690 CZK a year excluding VAT) for a combination of payment matching, reminders, recurring invoices, AI receipt scanning even on the free plan, and XML exports for the VAT return, the VAT control statement, and a basic income tax return scenario.

The limits are just as real: the free plan allows only 2 new invoices a month, even though it doesn't cap clients, and there's no inventory or support for multiple companies on one account. Foreign-currency invoicing works (CZK, EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, PLN), but the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme for selling to EU consumers does not. For an online shop with a team, or a business selling through OSS, Taxorio can't be recommended — Fakturoid, iDoklad, or Money S3 in a higher tier fit better there. You can try the free plan with no credit card at app.taxorio.cz/register.

Frequently asked questions

Which invoicing software is cheapest for a self-employed person in the Czech Republic?
Based on the lowest paid tier excluding VAT as of 5 September 2026, SuperFaktura.cz (129 CZK a month) and Taxorio (69 CZK a month) are the cheapest. It depends, though, on which features that tier actually includes — payment matching and reminders are often only available in higher tiers.
Is a free plan enough, or should I go straight to a paid tier?
A free plan is fine if you issue only a few invoices a month and don't need payment matching or reminders. Once you hit the limit on clients, contacts, or the number of invoices, it's time to move to a paid tier.
Which program handles VAT and the VAT control statement?
Taxorio offers an XML export for both the VAT return and the VAT control statement in its Pro tier at 69 CZK a month, including a basic income tax return scenario. The scope of VAT-related exports on other programs varies by tier — check the specific price list.
Is Taxorio suitable for an online shop with inventory?
No. Taxorio doesn't support inventory or multiple companies on one account and is built primarily for individual self-employed people. An online shop with a team is better served by the higher tiers of Fakturoid, iDoklad, Vyfakturuj.cz, or Money S3.
How do I compare the total annual cost between programs?
Multiply the monthly price of the tier that includes the features you actually need by twelve, or use the annual price directly if the provider offers a discount for it. Always compare tiers with a similar feature set, not just the lowest listed price.
