First steps in Taxorio

Get started with Taxorio in a few minutes — how to sign up, go through the setup wizard, fill in your company details, and issue your first invoice as a self-employed person (OSVČ), step by step.

Welcome to Taxorio

Taxorio is an invoicing app built specifically for Czech self-employed people (OSVČ). Within minutes of signing up you can issue your first invoice, track your income and expenses, and keep an eye on your tax obligations.

Signing up and signing in

Create an account at app.taxorio.cz/register, and sign in afterwards at app.taxorio.cz/login. There are two ways to sign up:

  • Email and password — enter your email and choose a strong password (at least 8 characters).
  • With a Google account — a quick one-click sign-up, nothing to remember.

As soon as you sign up you're logged in and the setup wizard starts right away — there's nothing to wait for. At the same time, a verification link goes out to your email, valid for 24 hours; clicking it confirms your address and takes you to the sign-in page with a confirmation that your email is verified.

The three-step wizard

The wizard walks you through three short steps — it takes about two minutes, and you can change everything later in Settings.

  1. Company
Enter your company ID (IČO) — Taxorio fills in the company name, registered address and tax ID (DIČ), if any, from the ARES register. In the same step you choose your VAT status: Non-payer (no VAT), Identified person, or VAT payer. Based on ARES one of the options is pre-selected, but the decision is still yours — switch it if it doesn't match. If you're not sure which one applies, the wizard has a "How do I know?" hint next to the choice — a VAT payer has a certificate of VAT registration from the tax office, and a tax ID (DIČ) assigned by ARES alone does not mean you are a VAT payer. If you pick a non-payer status, Taxorio also asks whether you pay flat-rate tax; if you do, it sets up the regime for you right away.
  2. Address
Confirm or fill in your registered address and contact details. These details are printed on every invoice.
  3. Optional
Banking details and tax settings. An account number is needed for the QR payment on invoices — a Czech account number with a bank code is enough, Taxorio works out the IBAN for you. You can skip this step with the Skip, I'll fill in later button.
💡 Tip: You can skip the wizard and come back to it any time through Settings → Company details. But invoices won't carry all the required details until you've filled in your company ID (IČO) and bank account.

Your first invoice

Once the wizard is done, you land on the Overview. Issuing your first invoice takes less than a minute:

  1. Click the New invoice button — it's right there on the main Overview card, and also in the Invoices section.
  2. Enter or pick a client — for a new client with a company ID (IČO), typing the IČO is enough and the details fill in from ARES.
  3. Add at least one line item: a name, a price and a quantity.
  4. Check the due date (pre-filled from your default payment term — 14 days right after sign-up, changeable in Settings → Invoicing) and click Issue invoice.
💡 Tip: You can send a finished invoice straight to the client by email with the Send button in the header of its detail view — the app generates the PDF automatically and attaches it.

What next?

Once you've got your first invoice out of the way, it's worth going through these areas:

  • Company setup — upload the logo that will appear on your invoices.
  • Overview — get to know the main "net earnings" card and the cards Taxorio puts together based on your tax regime.
  • Expenses — start recording your costs, so you have a complete picture of how the business is doing.
