Run Taxorio from a chat: invoices, VAT and payments

Ready-made prompts for running Taxorio from an AI assistant over MCP: issue invoices, check VAT, watch the flat-tax limit and match bank payments.

Plenty of tools now have an "AI" that will chat with you about your business. An assistant that actually does something is a different animal: it reaches into your invoices, expenses and taxes, issues a document, matches a payment, pulls your VAT position for the period. That is what connecting Taxorio to an assistant such as Claude over the MCP protocol gives you. This article is not an explanation of what MCP is — that lives in the MCP integration article. It is a collection of prompts you can copy and use straight away, aimed at what hurts an OSVČ (a Czech sole trader) most: tax, invoicing and the money that lands in the account.

Each one has the same shape: what you write, what happens behind it, and why it saves you time.

Before you start: the one-minute setup

To drive Taxorio from an assistant you add a single remote connector at app.taxorio.cz/mcp. It works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Claude.ai and ChatGPT, and nothing is installed on your computer. The MCP connector is part of the PRO plan.

  • No installation. No Node.js, no package, no config file — one command in Claude Code, Settings → Connectors in Claude Desktop and Claude.ai, and in ChatGPT you do not even type the address: it is listed as a ready-made connector.
  • No password or token in a config file. A browser window opens, you sign in to your Taxorio account and approve the scope of access over OAuth, the same way you would connect Google Drive or Slack.

Invoices and clients

The most frequent job of all, and the one where you click through the most form fields. With an assistant it collapses into a sentence.

1. Issue an invoice without opening the form

You write:

Issue an invoice to Northline Studio for 40 hours of consulting at CZK 1,200 an hour, due in 14 days, and send it to their billing address.

What happens: the assistant finds the client, creates the invoice with a line of 40 × CZK 1,200 at the right VAT rate, adds the payment QR code if you have it switched on, and e-mails it. If the client does not exist yet, it offers to create one — which is the next prompt.

Why it saves time: no searching for the client, no counting out the due date, no exporting a PDF.

2. Create a client from an IČO, without copying anything

You write:

Add a new client with IČO 12345678.

What happens: the assistant pulls the official name, address, DIČ and VAT status from ARES, the Czech business register, and creates the client pre-filled. You confirm.

Why it saves time: no more typos in a company name or a wrong DIČ on an invoice — the data comes straight from the register. More on checking business partners in the ARES guide.

3. Check a foreign client in VIES before you invoice them

You write:

Check VAT ID DE123456789 in VIES and, if it is valid, create a client called Müller GmbH.

What happens: the assistant validates the EU VAT ID in VIES, shows who it is registered to, and only then creates the client. For invoicing into the EU this matters: without a valid VAT ID you cannot apply the reverse-charge treatment correctly.

Why it saves time: verification and creation in one step, with no detour to the European Commission website. Cross-border invoicing in detail: invoicing a foreign client from Czechia.

4. Find out who owes you money

You write:

List every unpaid invoice past its due date and tell me how many days late each one is.

What happens: the assistant goes through your invoices, filters the unpaid overdue ones and lays them out oldest first. You can carry straight on: "send a polite reminder for the oldest one."

Why it saves time: instead of scrolling a list by hand you have the basis for chasing payment ready.

5. Cancel an invoice you should not have issued

You write:

Invoice 20260014 was issued by mistake. Cancel it.

What happens: the assistant describes the document first and asks you to confirm — cancellation is one-way, so it never happens on a loosely worded instruction. Only after you confirm is the invoice cancelled, and the eligibility rules (an invoice that has been paid, or already has a credit note attached, cannot be cancelled) are enforced by Taxorio itself.

Why it saves time: you do not have to find the document and walk through the dialog yourself. Note the boundary: a credit note — the corrective tax document under § 42 of the VAT Act — is created in the Taxorio app, not by the assistant. What a credit note is for and when to reach for one instead of a cancellation is covered in credit notes and corrective tax documents.

Taxes

Tax is the reason most sole traders start looking for an app like Taxorio in the first place, and it is where the difference shows between a tool that issues invoices and a tool that understands the whole agenda.

6. Where your VAT stands right now

You write:

How much VAT am I looking at for the current period?

What happens: the assistant returns your VAT position for the current tax period and for the one before it: output VAT, input deduction, the resulting amount to pay, and the filing deadline. Reverse-charge self-assessment is already included in those figures.

Why it saves time: you get a number to plan around without adding up invoices and expenses by hand. For an older period, generate the VAT return itself — the next prompt.

7. Produce the filing XML for a period

You write:

Generate the VAT control report for May 2026.

What happens: the assistant generates the XML file — either the VAT return (DPHDP3, including the variant for an identified person) or the control report (DPHKH1) — for the period you name, ready to upload to the MOJE daně portal, and tells you about anything that looked incomplete. Two limits are worth knowing: XML exports are part of the PRO plan, and only a regular filing is produced — a corrective or supplementary one has to be prepared elsewhere. How the submission itself works: the VAT control report.

Why it saves time: instead of sorting documents by limits and transaction types, you get the finished file.

8. Watch your flat-tax limit

You write:

I am on the flat tax. What is my income this year and how close am I to my band limit?

What happens: the assistant reports your income for the calendar year against the limit of your chosen band, the percentage you have reached, and how far you are from the absolute ceiling of CZK 2,000,000 that ends the flat-tax regime altogether. Two things it will tell you rather than guess: exceeding your band while staying under the ceiling does not throw you out of the regime, and a band can carry a higher limit depending on the type of activity you do — which Taxorio does not know, so it asks rather than declaring that you have gone over.

Why it saves time: no tracking the ceiling on a spreadsheet. If you are still weighing up whether the flat tax suits you at all, see the flat tax (paušální daň) explained.

9. What your monthly flat-tax payment is and when it is due

You write:

What is my monthly flat-tax payment and when do I have to pay it?

What happens: you get the amount broken down into income tax, social security and health insurance, plus the due date. Useful at the start of the month, so the payment does not slip.

Why it saves time: one question instead of digging through the tax calendar.

10. Know your income tax position before the return is due

You write:

Give me an interim income tax summary — income, expenses and an estimated tax base for this year.

What happens: the assistant assembles income and expenses and shows the estimated tax base, so March holds no surprises. When it is time to file, work through the income tax return guide.

Why it saves time: you can check where you stand at any point in the year instead of only just before the deadline.

Always check a tax export before you file it. The assistant prepares the file automatically, but the filing is your responsibility. Read the numbers before you upload anything to MOJE daně. An assistant is a good helper, not a replacement for your own check.

Payments from the bank

Issuing an invoice is half the work. The other half is noticing that the money arrived and marking the invoice paid. Taxorio matches incoming bank payments to invoices, and through an assistant you can handle it without opening your banking app and Taxorio side by side.

11. What is waiting to be matched

You write:

What incoming payments are waiting for me to confirm?

What happens: you get the list of bank payments waiting to be matched, each with the amount, the sender and the invoice the system has proposed for it. How the matching works underneath: automatic bank payment matching.

Why it saves time: one list instead of switching between online banking and your invoices.

12. Confirm the match and settle the invoice

You write:

Confirm the payment from Northline Studio against invoice 20260014.

What happens: the proposed match is confirmed and the invoice is marked paid with the correct payment date, so your income figures are immediately current.

Why it saves time: no more opening each invoice to mark it paid.

13. Move a payment the system matched to the wrong invoice

You write:

This CZK 24,200 payment does not belong to invoice 20260014, it belongs to 20260016. Reassign it.

What happens: the payment is re-matched to the right invoice and that invoice is marked paid. If it is you who made the mistake, a match can also be undone and the invoice returned to unpaid.

Why it saves time: a correction takes a sentence instead of a walk through several screens.

A month on autopilot

Individually these are handy. Their real weight shows when you string them into the rhythm of a month:

WhenWhat you writeWhat you get
Start of the monthWhat is my flat-tax payment and when is it due?The amount and the date, so nothing slips.
When a job is finishedInvoice client X and send it.An invoice with a payment QR code, e-mailed.
As you goWhat payments are waiting to be matched? You confirm the incoming payments; the invoices flip to paid.
Before month endWho is past due?A list of debtors and the basis for reminders.
After the period closesWhere does my VAT stand, and generate the filing. The amount to pay and the XML to upload.
Any timeHow close am I to the flat-tax limit?A check that the ceiling is not creeping up on you.

Because everything runs on the same data, the figures in the dashboard, in VAT and in the income tax summary agree with each other.

Security, and where to keep your hand on the wheel

  • No password in a config file. The connection runs over OAuth. You sign in to your account in a browser, exactly as you would anywhere else.
  • The assistant sees only what the tools expose. It can call the defined Taxorio functions and nothing beyond them, and it cannot get around your own permissions.
  • You are told what is about to happen. The client shows you which action it is about to take and with what data. Irreversible operations — cancelling a document, deleting one, sending an e-mail — ask for confirmation first.
  • You have the last word. With tax exports and deletions especially, treat the output as a proposal to check rather than a finished job.

Getting better answers

  • Be specific. "Issue an invoice for 40 hours at CZK 1,200 due in 14 days" works better than "make me an invoice". More detail, fewer follow-up questions.
  • Name the period, do not say "this year". For tax and VAT give the exact period ("Q2 2026", "May"), so nothing unexpected gets added up.
  • Chain the steps. "Check this IČO, create the client and invoice them" is one conversation, not three.
  • Let the assistant ask. Starting from an incomplete instruction and filling in the gaps in dialogue is perfectly fine.
  • Check the numbers on anything that leaves the building. An invoice to a client and a file for the tax office both deserve a look at the amounts and the period before they go.

In short

An assistant connected to Taxorio is not a chatbot that discusses invoices with you — it issues them, matches payments from your bank and tells you where your VAT stands. The point is not any single trick; it is that the same sentence-shaped interface covers the whole agenda, from the client through the tax to the money in the account. Start with one prompt from this article and see how much of the month it absorbs.

⚠️ Current Taxorio scope: the set of actions an assistant can take changes over time. Treat the tool list shown by your connected assistant as authoritative rather than this article.

Taxorio scope: Taxorio provides invoicing and income/expense records for Czech sole traders. It is not full accounting or personalised tax advice. For an unsupported or unusual case, verify the treatment with a Czech accountant or tax adviser before filing.
