Automatic fill-in from ARES

Enter a company ID and Taxorio automatically fills in the company name, address and tax ID from the ARES register — no retyping, no typos. How it works, and when to double-check the details.

What ARES is

ARES (the Administrative Register of Economic Entities) is a public register run by the Czech Ministry of Finance. It holds details on every company, self-employed person (OSVČ) and other economic entity registered in the Czech Republic — company name, registered office, company ID (IČO), tax ID (DIČ), legal form and registration status.

ARES data comes from several sources: the Commercial Register, the Trade Licensing Register, the VAT payer register and others. ARES is public and free to use.

How the ARES fill-in works in Taxorio

In the client form, enter the company ID and click the Fill from ARES button next to the field. Taxorio queries the ARES API and fills in whatever details are available.

  1. Enter the eight-digit number (no spaces) into the company ID (IČO) field.
  2. Click Fill from ARES — Taxorio queries the register.
  3. It fills in: the company name, the registered address and the tax ID (DIČ) (if the entity is a VAT payer).
  4. Check the loaded details and adjust them by hand if needed before saving.

When ARES data might not be current

ARES isn't updated in real time. Changes in the Commercial Register or the Trade Licensing Register reach ARES with a delay that can run from days to weeks. The most common mismatches show up with:

  • A company's registered address that changed recently.
  • Newly registered VAT payers (the tax ID might not be in ARES yet).
  • Companies in liquidation or with suspended business activity.

Overwriting the loaded details by hand

Every field filled in from ARES is editable. Click into the field and overwrite the value — your changes save along with the client's card. Careful: clicking Fill from ARES again overwrites the loaded details (name, address, tax ID) with fresh values from the register — so make any manual edits only after you've filled in from ARES.
