What the AI assistant in Taxorio can do

An overview of what the AI assistant in Taxorio can do — ask about invoices, expenses, VAT, Czech tax legislation, advance payment calculations, and an analysis of your cash flow.

The AI assistant in Taxorio

Taxorio has a built-in AI assistant powered by Google's Gemini model. The assistant understands the context of your business — it can see your invoices, expenses, clients and settings — so it can answer specific questions about your own data, not just in general terms.

Where to find the assistant

  • Desktop and tablet — the assistant opens in the right-hand side panel. Open the panel with the AI Assistant button in the top-right corner of the header.
  • Mobile — the same button appears in the header as a chat icon, or you'll find the assistant in the bottom bar under Menu → AI Assistant. On a phone, the panel opens full-screen.

What the AI assistant can do

Answers tax and accounting questions

Ask about Czech legislation, VAT rates, filing deadlines, flat-rate expenses, reverse charge, insurance advance payments — the assistant explains the rules in plain language, with references to the actual sections of the law. When it doesn't have the answer in its knowledge base, it looks it up in official sources (the Tax Administration, the Ministry of Finance, ČSSZ, health insurance companies, the Collection of Laws) and tells you where the answer comes from.

Works with your data

The assistant can see your invoicing data and answer specific questions: "How much have I invoiced this year?", "Who owes me the most?", "Which of my invoices are unpaid?" It calculates the results directly from your own records.

VAT overview and tax calendar

The assistant works out your output and input VAT for any period, and shows you the nearest tax deadlines relevant to your business — the VAT return, insurance advance payments, the VAT control statement and more.

App navigation and help

Not sure where to find something in the app, or how to carry out a particular task? Just ask — the assistant will tell you where things are, walk you through the steps, and can switch you straight to the right page.

Hands things over to human support

When the assistant can't help, or runs into an app error, it can pass the issue on to our support team by email. It attaches your details and a snippet of the conversation to the report itself, so you don't have to retype anything. This works on both plans — support isn't a paid feature.

Suggested questions at the start of a conversation

When you start a new conversation, the assistant offers a few ready-made questions as a quick start, and the suggestions change depending on the section you're currently in — in Invoices it asks "Who owes me and how much?", in Expenses "How much have I spent on software this year?", and in Taxes & insurance "How much VAT will I owe this quarter?". Click a question to send it right away.

Active operations (PRO plan)

On the Free plan, the chat only reads and analyses your data. On the PRO plan, it can also suggest specific actions — but it only carries them out once you confirm with a button. Nothing gets saved or sent without your confirmation. The chat can suggest:

  • Invoices — issue an invoice (a new one, or from a draft you already started), including in a foreign currency and in the document's language; mark it as paid — for a foreign-currency document, together with the amount that actually arrived in your account ("mark invoice 20260012 as paid, 985 EUR came in"); cancel it; email it to the client; send a reminder for an unpaid invoice and attach a document you already have in Taxorio (from the inbox or from an expense).
  • Clients — create, edit or delete a client.
  • Expenses — add, edit or delete an expense, including an advance-payment document (with a payment date); deleting an advance with a linked settlement is refused. More on advances in Advances you pay to suppliers.
  • Recurring invoices — pause and resume an existing schedule (just name it). The assistant doesn't create or edit a schedule — the app has a form with a variable preview for that.
  • Settings — update your company details.

One thing to watch out for: an invoice the assistant issues can no longer be deleted — it becomes a tax document that can only be cancelled. The preview before you confirm always reminds you of this.

Steps with a bigger tax impact are deliberately left out: you issue a proforma invoice, confirm a received advance payment, issue a final invoice or a credit note in the app itself.

App navigation (opening a specific page) and handing an issue over to support both work on the Free plan too. For full control of Taxorio from an external AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Cline…), use the MCP integration, also on the PRO plan.

How to open the assistant and get started

  1. Click the AI Assistant button in the top right (on mobile, tap the chat icon or Menu → AI Assistant).
  2. Type your question into the text field, or pick one of the ready-made questions.
  3. The answer streams in as it's generated — you don't have to wait for the whole text. When the assistant needs to look something up in your data, you'll see what it's doing.
  4. You can keep the conversation going — the assistant remembers the context of earlier messages within one session.
💡 Tip: The more specific the question, the more accurate the answer. Instead of "How much have I earned?", try "What was my total income for April 2026?".
