What Taxorio's tools are
At taxorio.cz/en/tools you'll find nine free calculators and overviews for the self-employed (OSVČ). They work without registration or sign-in — they calculate from the numbers you type in, not from your documents inside the app.
If you're already using Taxorio, look up the binding figures from your own documents in the Taxes & insurance section instead. The calculators are for "what if" decisions and quick checks.
Income tax and tax regime
- Income Tax Calculator — puts three scenarios side by side: an employee, a self-employed person (OSVČ) in the standard regime, and one on flat-rate tax. It accounts for flat-rate and actual expenses, insurance, the personal tax credit and the child tax allowance, and adds paid leave, sick pay and the pension impact on top of the money. Covered in detail in Income Tax Calculator — Self-Employed vs. Employee.
- Flat-Rate Tax — Is It Worth It? — compares your total tax burden in the flat-rate and standard regimes, places you in a band, and factors in the child tax allowance, which you cannot claim under flat-rate tax. See Flat-Rate Tax Calculator — Is It Worth It?.
- Net Salary Calculator — calculates net salary from gross, including insurance, the personal tax credit and the child allowance; it also shows the cost to the employer. Handy when you're weighing employment against self-employment, or when you employ someone yourself.
- How Much to Charge Per Hour — works out the hourly rate you need from the net income you want to take home. It accounts for tax, insurance and unpaid time (holidays, finding clients, admin), so you don't end up with a rate you can't actually live on.
VAT
- VAT Calculator — adds VAT to a net price, or works backwards from a VAT-inclusive price to the tax base and the tax. Rates 21% and 12% valid for 2026.
- VAT Turnover Tracker — calculates when you become a VAT payer. It works with both calendar-year turnover thresholds and shows how much room you have left before registration. (Inside the app, the VAT turnover card on the Overview tracks the same thing from your actual documents. A flat-rate taxpayer and an identified person don't get this card in the row — for them, an approaching limit shows up as a bar above the cards instead.)
Insurance and deadlines
- Freelancer Insurance Advances — monthly social and health insurance advance payments based on your profit, including the 2026 minimums and the distinction between main and secondary activity.
- OSVČ Overpayment 2026 — the July 2026 cut to minimum advances and flat-rate tax means many self-employed people paid more than they had to in the first half of the year. The tool calculates how much to pay in July and how to get the overpayment back.
- Deadlines & Penalties — an overview of every deadline for the self-employed and the penalties for missing them. See Overview of Tax Deadlines & Penalties 2026.
💡 Tip: The calculators link to one another — under each one you'll find a section of related tools, so you can click straight from the net salary calculator to the hourly rate calculator, for example.
⚠️ Note: All the tools are for guidance only and use general parameters for the given year. They don't know your credits, deductions or the specifics of your situation — for decisions with bigger consequences, consult a tax advisor or accountant.
